Knockerball™ is a single-chamber, inflatable sphere with inner handles and adjustable shoulder straps. They range from 1.2 to 1.5 meters, and the size / fit is predicated by your height. Knockerballs™ can be used in a solo setting to perfect your rolls, flips, and wheels. "KnockerBallers," or avid players of the sport, describe the sensation as almost gravity-defying. Just imagine the sensation and mobility that a Knockerball™ allows you to experience... without putting any stress on the body!
With two or more Knockerballs™, the experience is catapulted into rip-roaring laughter, exhilarating knocks and rolls that will keep you coming back for more. KnockerSoccer is truly a blast, but we must warn you that organized games generally break down into literal knock down chaos, with the only resulting pain being from laughing so hard and having way too much fun.
Knockerball™, or "bubble soccer", has been gaining traction in Europe, Australia, Japan, and elsewhere. It's recently become a phenomenon in the United States, and we here at Tri City Sports Complex are excited to introduce it to the Great Lakes Bay Region! Leagues are opening up all over the country, so isn't it time you "GET IN THE BALL" and see what all the excitement is about? The Tri City Sports Complex is currently designing and scheduling Knockerball Tournaments and Leagues, so keep an eye on our website and our Facebook for details.
TCSC Waiver: A Waiver must be signed for each player. If under 18 years old, it must be signed by a parent or guardian. In cases of group Rentals (such a parties and team bonding) the Renter can sign for all participants.
Always be braced for impact. This is a contact sport.
All play stops immediately when the TCSC Sport Coordinator blows the whistle.
You must remain in your Knockerball when in the field of any game play.
The minimum weight depends on the height and strength of each person. We recommend a maximum weight of 250 lbs. One could still play at heavier weight, but it would put more pressure on the equipment and we may determine it to be a safety and equipment concern.
If you can fit into the ball comfortably, you should be fine. Taller and heavier players may experience some challenges getting in and out, but this goes away with a little practice.
We recommend that any participant 5’7” or shorter use the Medium size Knockerball (1.2 Meter).
Participants 5’7” or taller should use the Large size Knockerballs (1.5 Meter).
With the wide variety of activities you can do with the Knockerballs, we can accommodate children 10 and up. However, the combination of height, weight and strength of each person can contribute to how comfortable one feels playing. Here at TCSC, we have a wide variety of activities that allow our Knockerball Sport Coordinator to conduct a session that fits your specific group.
